I am not sure how long this might take, maybe 5 years for hundreds of millions, and longer for the rest of the world as much of the world is still not online. So what might this world look like?
Well consider the financial aspect of decentralization. Already you can buy from millions of merchants that accept cryptocurrencies like bitcoin. Perhaps bitcoin will be the main one everyone accepts and many merchants may accept much more and will instantly convert whatever other currencies are used, into bitcoin.

The world will be encrypted to anyone who wants to be. Do you realize how important that is? All those ABC agencies will not be able to spy on you because all they will get are encoded messages that they can't break. Freedom will increase tremendously as no one can listen in on your communications anymore.
Once you have your money in crypto form you can store it safely with no permission necessary from a bank or government,as well as complete anonymity with coins like Zcash. You can also take your pay in the form of bitcoin using such services as Bitwage. If you want to hold your money in crypto it will tend to go up as this whole realm is just getting started with huge upside for the world. Now imagine if countries and banks ban cryptocurrencies, well even then they will be widely used in a black market to buy goods or as a store of wealth, since it is rare, unlike toilet paper bankster money so it actually goes up in value compared to paper currencies which historically have a 100% fail rate over time. The is no way to ban encrypted money without shutting down the internet. It is easier to encrypt then to decipher.

People will be able to use unbreakable double deposit contracts from software like blackhalo where both parties agree to perform or initiate a refund or option 3 is both lose a deposit that gets destroyed to a burn address. No crooks will initiate such contracts as there is nothing to gain if you lose your deposit. No middleman arbitrator will be needed. Governments will issue their own currencies governed by their own rules and that system will be very centralized but awake people will only use govt money as a last resort. Tax revenues will dry up and the inevitable very overdue economic collapse will finally occur if it had not already (which is great because it is much healthier to get it over with sooner rather than later.)
After the collapse, the question becomes, will the powers that be controlling governments , choose the martial law totalitarian response, or allow decentralization to rule. If we go the totalitarian route we will have massive civil disobedience and violence and pain but in the end, the people will have their way, since finances will be decentralized so government will become more and more defunded and hence smaller.

Central governments which have caused more pain and suffering in the world with their endless wars and robbing people in cahoots with banksters, will run out of money. The dollar will tank.

Imagine decentralized law where you can make a contract using British law or USA Law or make up your own laws. Cities will be formed with new laws. Smart contracts will replace regular contracts for things like buying stocks and life insurance, even cars and house will be put on blockchains and transferred as housecoins or carcoins.

Decentralized production will occur with no censorship. With 3D printing people can make whatever they like. Now imagine producing your own energy cheaply from home. Manufacturing and energy will become decentralized. Mega corporations will become less important.
The mainstrem media will be recognized for the fake news that it is. Information will flow freely 24/7 even to China and other highly censored countries, for any regular person will be technologically able to easily get onto a free and uncensored internet such as is being created now through a number of new technologies like Mysterium. People will be able to post articles and videos without being demonetized or deleted. They will even get paid micropayments for their content like at Steemit.

What is anarchy? Some think well you anarchist types are advocating violence and chaos. No not at all. I think what anarchy really means is having no involuntary rulers, because in anarchy a hundred people might want to all agree on certain rules in a New England town, but anarchists would never allow a tyrant to rule over them. So people will decide where there money is spent rather than government bureaucrats. After all it is their money. This will lead to extremely low voluntary taxes like we now have through government run lotteries and much more money in peoples pockets. Voluntary charity will skyrocket as people now are flush with cash and finally understand that government is their enemy not their friend and it will be up to private citizens ,families and churches and foundations to care for the truly handicapped, you know, like people did for centuries before the nanny state came along and created ghettos and fake wars on poverty which have created more poverty.

AIRBNB and UBER will be the business models except there will be no UBER company only software smart contracts doing everything that large companies used to do. Instead of a company called UBER there would just be smart self executing software released on the internet which does everything UBER did only without UBER.

People will thrive and the little guy will make more money as micropayments and crypto technology will empower them. For example, villages in Africa will fundraise via crowdsales and transfer the money on their cellphones. Many jobs in finance will be lost as we will not need stockbrokers,lawyers,accountants,bankers etc nearly as much as before as encrypted crypto transactions can do all what used to be done by third parties. Trillions will be saved with blockchains doing what people used to do. Crypto money like gold in the 1800's, will hold it's value and the effects of government paper money inflation destroying countries will cease to exist. Anyone who desires may hedge their toilet paper money with truly RARE and very USEFUL crypto money. Govt will shrink, privacy will increase and individual liberty will flourish.

Another transformation will occur in the social realm as people will participate in real time literal democratic processes and have the ability to evolve their own governance systems such as what Tezos is doing now with a self governing blockchain. Swarm intelligence such as found in UNU artificial intelligence will collect information and people acting collectively will produce wiser forecasts than people acting alone. This is well demonstrated so groups will foresee the future much better.
Telecommuting will drastically increase with decentralization as whatever one can do at an office can also be done at home. P2P exchanging will cut out expensive middlemen. The internet of things will connect people to technology in ways we can not yet imagine. Individual people will have much more say in deciding about things that effect them. You know even without cryptocurrencies and blockchains the world can become decentralized very easily by decentralizing large bloated centralized governments.
