Wisconsin Supreme Court overturns Gov. "Safer at home" // My Reaction
Hey everyone welcome back! I have been following this court case in Wisconsin for a bit, and I tell you...it does not disappoint.
Yesterday the Wisconsin Supreme Court voted to overturn the Governor's "safer at home" policy. I think this was a great step toward some sort of normalcy.
We have a good number of friends in Wisconsin, and friends that feel like family. We have been watching their struggle as they have had their freedom taken away in the name of the greater good.
I am not shy about my opinion of the pandemic and the idea of social distancing. I believe it is the individuals right to live their life and someone else can't tell them what to do because they feel they have a moral high ground. When it comes to a single person creating law on their own....that is too far.
It is bad enough that the U.S. has a law making problem. They love making laws just like Tony Montana loves bumping coke. At some point we the people have a right to live what we consider to be free.
We should all have the right to choose what we do. As individuals and as private businesses. If people do not want to come outside or go to work, then that is their choice. There are also those people that want to be outside and are looking for work. It will all work itself out, and we should be able to make our own choices.
This result of the Supreme Court vote is a step in the right direction. They didn't take away all of the policy, and counties can still enforce certain things.....but the people of Wisconsin can move freely and even come together for a drink.
