Backwoods Hygiene
Something that may get overlooked while living on a homestead is hygiene. We all have our own idea of what is good, and what is good enough.
Since our first homestead we have made it a point to maintain the best hygiene we can. We have taught our kids that there is no excuse for poor hygiene even in the roughest situations.
There are two main reasons for me.1. Health. It is effected by our hygiene. 2. When I do business off of the homestead it effects my business.

I agree with you, personal hygiene is extremely important. It gives us a confidence boost in any situation, even if we don't realize it. :D
