Facebook bans cryptocurrency and ICO ads .. Facebook will face real challenge to transform into reward based platform like steemit

According to cointelegraph, facebook has banned all cryptocurrency and ICO ads.
The ostensible reason cited by facebook for the ban is 'Deceptive promotional practices'

Let me emphasize the word 'Ostensible' here because I feel there is an underlying deeper reason for the ban

Facebook's current business model is exactly the opposite of Decentralized

under the current business model, they get all the revenues for YOUR participation and they are quite happy with this business model

Now they have to adapt to the new model wherein they have give rewards to the users for participation and for enriching the community. But this model is diagonally opposite to their current model and it is always a challenge to adapt to a new disruptive force.

Facebook has not quite yet formulated a comprehensive strategy and needs more time, to study the dynamics of this new economy deeper

So for the time being it is not quite comfortable with the propagation of Decentralized ideas on its Centralized platform
