Why movies popular whole over world?

Cinema is an art and art is for your emotional growth. Art should move you, should inspire you, should motivate you, and every form of art has its own ways of bringing out the emotions. The cinema hall is designed in a specific way - that big huge screen.. That sound system.. That seating arrangement.. That lighting arrangement.. Everything is there to serve the film and to present this art as purely as possible ( I mean the first point here) And watching a film on a television ruins the basic purpose of this art of films. And the people who understand this I guess prefer going to the movies.
Over the years, I've seen the occasional multiplex auditorium with a postage stamp-sized screen. Most theaters offer screens much better than that, though. There isn't a flatscreen HDTV anywhere that's as big as the even smallest screen at your local movie house. And even if you could get one that big, you probably don't have a wall in your home big enough to accommodate it.
