Introduction

It's a great pleasure to be submitting a report in the community at this time of the day, obviously, the first time publishing one here. This publication is my first report as a Steemit country representative from Nigeria, a privilege I will never take for granted. Without wasting much time, let's dive into my report for the week which would be sectioned into a few parts.

Teaching the Use of Images in Articles

Over the last few weeks and as far as I've been active in the platform, I have noticed a few users are still not taking the use of images very seriously in their articles, and sometimes, a few users failed when it comes to adding the right link to their images. I have left out some articles while submitting articles for booming support due to issues like this.

I realized this is a problem that should be addressed so that users can get familiar with the proper use of free images and adding the right links. In the previous week, I had created a tutorial to guide Nigerians in the Steem4Nigeria community and others who were opportune to see the content, I believe this has been able to address the issues related to the use of images.

Articles' Selection for Booming Support

We have been selected in the first tier of the booming support which allows us to submit 8 articles per day for extra support from booming. Over the last seven days, I have been able to select a total of 56 articles for booming support and have adequately published the selection for each day using the community's account.

The 56 articles are from a total of 40 users, having selected 26 users once throughout the week, 13 users made the list of selection twice for the week and the community account was selected 4x. I have ensured that all articles are selected properly without favoritism and abide by the rules of the booming support. Let's see the metrics of the selections below.

Authors Selected more than Once

The list is getting lengthy, let's break things up a bit. In addition, these users are properly screened to ensure they are not powering down and have properly been in compliance with the club status initiative (club5050 or club75, or club100). Let's proceed with the rest of the list.

This is the end of the selections I made in the official Steem community for Nigerians, Steem4Nigeria, the process is very transparent and I believe it would enable users to keep interacting in the community.

Moderating and Upvoting Activities

Even though we have active moderators in the community, I have been able to work on verifying articles submitted in my country's community in the quest to contribute my quota to the swift running of activities in the community and not leaving articles unattended for too long in the community.

In the last 7 days, I have been able to verify 19 articles in the community following the standard of the community, highlighting if a user is verified, club status of the user, steem exclusivity, plagiarism-free content, bot-free content and others ( I have made other comments on articles in the community as well which was not included in the standard metrics above).

In the process of verifying articles in the community, I have been able to come by new users whom I have properly instructed on a few things to start with, like visiting the Newcomers' community to attend a few achievement tasks and get verified in the process.

In addition, I have adequately supported my country's people with votes, this is not limited to the articles published in steem4nigeria but also in other communities and I often use the #nigeria tag for filtering in the quest to support the articles made by Nigerians.

To cap it all in this section, I have been active in other communities throughout the week as well, for example, Steemit Crypto Academy where I have reviewed entries published in the ongoing contest and made content in Hot News community as well. I have 3 active posts in my country's community at the moment.

Extra Support Guideline for Authors

The community curators initiative has been helping users to create content that would receive support from curators of different themes and exposing them to even earn extra support from SC01 if they were able to make it to the top. I have created the guideline for users as regards creating content under the Finance and Technology theme and have it pinned in the Steem4Nigeria community.

The guide was made detailed to inform users about the requirements of getting support from SC05 and how to make their articles visible for support in the process which I believe many users would take advantage of opportunity.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I have been able to share some of the activities I've been involved in over the just-ended week to ensure the proper running of Steem activities amongst Nigerians, the coming week is gonna be filled with more activities and projects to facilitate the growth of Steem in this part of the world. This is my first report as a Nigerian CR and I hope you had a great time reading through it. Thank you.
