Hello, everyone. I'm glad to partake in this amazing contest in the community which is centered on writing a letter to our loved ones, oh! Loved one, we are talking about a person here. I urge you to read through my letter about a very important part of my existence.

Dear Mom,
I know we had some discussions through a phone call about 22 hours ago but there are certain things I missed and would like to put into writing. I didn't tell you how amazing you have been as a mother and how you are the best in the whole wide world. Your trust in me and prayers kept me going, and I'm doing the best I can as a man.
Mom, I still remember the sacrifices, and the pain you bore to see me grow up, thanks for not leaving me at that tender age for the hungry wolves to devour me, knowing I spent the early days of my life amidst evident adversaries. Thank you for believing in every step I take, it kept me going.
I won't fail to forget the sleepless nights we spent together hustling while the other people in the neighborhood are sleeping, just to put food on the table, I know those years have some impacts on your health, I just hope you get better over every health challenges. Sometimes, I shed tears remembering those years and thinking that things should have been better than this.
Momma, I have a little secret to tell you today. You know sometimes we don't speak for days, that's because I find it hard to accept that I have not lived up to fulfilling my promises to you. I feel reluctant to pick up sometimes to attend to any situation you would be sharing with me. I'm sorry I share this but I just want you to know how your well-being is so important to me.
Mom, I took a verse from one of the popular afrobeat stars in Nigeria with a line that said "So if you don't do it for me, do it for my brothers", this is a form of conversation with God and I improvise when singing this to 'So if you don't do it for me, do it for my parents". Yes, your well-being in all areas would keep me more focused on myself. Momma, I think about you and dad all day and night.
Please, don't shed tears, be strong for me, there will be a breakthrough. Momma, hang on! Tell dad to hang on too, I know his situation as well. Sorry, I feel reluctant earlier to come home for Christmas due to many reasons in this piece but I will be around with you in a few days.
Thanks for all you have done for me so far, you are the perfect example of a virtuous woman and blessing is yours all the days of your life. Don't be disturbed by taking you down memory lane, just visualize the better days ahead and be happy. You gave birth to a great man, I am doing well and it will get better. I love you momma and your little boy would be home with you sooner. We have a lot discuss. My regards to dad.

How wonderful is mother sacrifice, they starve for their kids to eat, toil all day to give their kids a good life, beautiful letter you have written to your mom, and I'm sure she will be happy and proud of you reading your letter, not to worry because you are fulfilling your promise to her soon.
