Newcomers' Event - Let's Talk about Steemit

The blogs with the simplest mode of operation in terms of posting anything you wish even sometimes require guidance on certain things. Steemit as a decentralized platform needs certain guidance or else new guys would be publishing irrelevant content which tends to get them kicked out of several communities.

Steemit as a platform built on the blockchain leveraging the technology for incentivization requires more guidance as compared to other regular social media platforms that do have not many limits to what can be published (where less quality content is shared). What about the Proof of Brain (PoB), Payouts, the club initiative, presentation, and so on? New users need a few things to get them on the right track in the ecosystem.
As I stated earlier, due to the ignorance of some new users they have been muted across several communities that believed they are spammers who never had good intentions for signing up. Irrelevant content is found on most community pages often, not because these guys know it's not good enough but because they are just wanderers who have not been able to understand Steemit.

We can help the newbies from Nigeria to understand things better, we have been doing that before and now I feel we can still do more as such I'm setting the weekend aside to enlighten newbies, welcome their questions, and attend to all till the end of the day.

In conclusion, we are trying to build a new set of Steemians that understands Steemit and can pass on the legacy to the incoming newbies. It's easy to dish out your knowledge about something provided you are well-grounded and I believe newbies today would take up the responsibility someday.
In addition, I'm the only facilitator at the moment but we may likely have more facilitators along the line and this article would be updated. Join the Newcomers' Orientation Group. Good luck, everyone.

A wonderful initiative from you dear @fredquantum, this will go a long way in educating both the new and old steemians on the platform how and what some of these things are. I sure will be present to contribute and add more knowledge.
