Awake Shows Love

Awake Purified Mineral Water a subsidiary of Kasapreko Company Limited, one of Ghana's leading alcoholic beverage manufacturers on Valentine's Day went to the Cardiothoracic Center of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to show some love to staff and patients and also find out what the center might need. Awake has a charity programme dubbed One 4 Life and this is how it works. Whenever a bottle of Awake Purified Mineral Water is purchased, 1% of the sale goes to the National Cardiothoracic Center to support patients with heart problems. They've been supporting the Hospital for years and so far, have spent over $250,000 on surgeries for heart patients and this is their 9th donation.

The Managing Director (Richard Adjei) used the opportunity to thank all patronisers of Awake Mineral Water for their support and added that they couldn't have done it without them. They went around the wards to say hello to some patients and gave everyone present a bottle of Awake Mineral Water. So far, 66 people have benefited from the One 4 Life project and Awake hopes to help more people with their heart surgeries.
