Almost everyone has imbibed the habit of goal setting and a lot of people seem to be setting more goals this days but not everyone has been able to achieve the said set goals. Gone are the days when goal setting was a difficult thing to do, these days it is very easy to set goals as more people are doing it but only few people are able to keep up with the habit of achieving the set goals.

Starting a business goal may be really fascinating and so many people may be telling you about why you need to set those goals, but you just set the goals and you are more confused because after the time you set for yourself, you are not able to achieve the goals.

Like I mentioned earlier, not very business goal is achievable because people are missing out on doing the goal setting the appropriate way. In order to set a business goal that you can achieve, you need to ask yourself important questions.

Are my goals clear enough? While we learn about goal setting, so many teachers fail to mentor us on the necessity of having a clarified goal. When your goals are clarified, it makes you work more hard to achieving what you want and you know what you are driving at. I will give a quick example: Imagine that you set a goal to make more sales, that is a random goal and you can make 5 or 10 more sales and just stay happy that you have been able to achieve your goal but consider that you set a goal to make 20 extra sales before the end of the month, you will put in extra energy to meet up with your goal and make accomplishment possible.

Are my goals written? A lot of people find it difficult to accomplish their business goals because they find it difficult to write down their business goals. Business goals become achievable the moment you take the step to write down what you will like to achieve, it does not take much time to write it down and the writing is effective because it creates a regular reminder every time you look at the piece of paper unlike the one you have on your head and might easily forget because your mind is pre-occupied with different things.

So many people I have come across detest writing down goals because they believe it will make them look like a failure if they are not able to achieve the goals, but there is no point in beating yourself too hard if you are unable to meet up with your goal. The most important thing is that you try everything within your power to make these goals you have set for your business achievable goals, but if after all your effort you are not able to meet up with the deadline you set, then set another deadline, there is no point beating up yourself too hard over something you cannot change.
