$10 Billion Institutional Asset Manager Stone Ridge Buys 10K Bitcoin

The $10 billion institutional asset manager has bought 10k BTC worth $115 million as its “primary treasury reserve asset.” Publicly-traded MicroStrategy first started the narrative (twice), then last week, Jack Dorsey’s Square bought $50 million Bitcoin, representing 1% of company assets. Now, Stone Ridge Holdings Group has jumped on the BTC as a reserve asset train. As Stone Ridge co-founder, Robert Gutmann, put it, that thesis is a belief in “the long term growth of an open-source monetary system in assets like bitcoin." Read Full on forbes

Litecoin Celebrates Its 9th Birthday

Litecoin, one of the oldest and most established cryptocurrencies, is celebrating its ninth anniversary today. Its network went live on Oct. 13, 2011, and has since had zero downtime. The cryptocurrency was released on Github by ex-Google employee Charlie Lee as an alternative to Bitcoin, about five months after Namecoin, the first known altcoin, was launched. IBM Blockchain 'Health Pass' Will Help Firms Reopen Amid Pandemic

A new application powered by the IBM blockchain aims to help people around the world return to physical encounters amid the coronavirus pandemic. IBM Watson Health, a healthcare-focused arm of tech giant IBM, is launching IBM Digital Health Pass, a blockchain-based app to support global organizations and companies as they start reopening after months of lockdown. Fidelity: Bitcoin Could Grow Into a Trillion-Dollar Market

According to Fidelity, Bitcoin is an excellent investment for those considering to exit banks and enter the markets. Fidelity explains Bitcoin as an alternative asset that allows hodlers to protect their wealth as it doesn’t depend on what happens to other markets. Fidelity explains that current circumstances can catalyze massive capital migration. 100 Italian Banks Are Using Blockchain Technology

About 100 Italian banks are officially operating on the country’s banking blockchain network, Spunta, built on R3’s Corda, the Italian Banking Association (ABI) announced. Since March 204 million transactions were processed on Spunta’s infrastructure, and the association predicts this number will exceed 350 million by the end of the year. Square's Bitcoin Investment “Strong Vote Of Confidence” For Crypto

Square’s recently announced $50M investment in bitcoin (BTC) is a “strong vote of confidence for the future of bitcoin” and a signal the payments company sees “a lot of potential” for the crypto as an asset, JPMorgan analysts said in report. The analysts reportedly said that other payment companies are likely to follow Square’s lead or risk being left out of a growing segment. Millennials have been using Square's Cash App to buy BTC, the researchers noted, and that demand, along with Microstrategy's acquisitions, indicate Q3's BTC demand exceeded supply at a greater level than Q2's. ChainLink Network Hits Over $30 Billion In Cumulative Transaction Volume

The cumulative transaction on Chainlink has recorded a new all-time high transaction volume following a resurgence of LINK Marines activity in the crypto market. According to data from Glassnode, Chainlink network has handled over $30 Billion in transaction volume following a steady rise since September 22. While Link is currently trading at $11.16 after losing 3.10% in the last 24 hours, it is still within a positive performance range that makes it among the top 10 ten altcoins likely to go up in the next few days. U.S. presidential candidate from the Libertarian party, Jo Jorgensen, has taken to her Twitter page to announce that she now accepts donations for her campaign in cryptocurrencies (XRP, Bitcoin, ETH, Bitcoin Cash and others) via Bitpay, also the crypto community now can support her if they wish. She further tweet, “I HAVE a pro-crypto policy.
