I want the Superpower of Telepathy(Reading Minds).
By definition, Telepathy is the ability to know what is in someone else's mind, or to communicate with someone mentally, without using words or other physical signals. Source.
Regularly, we do hear statements like, "I have changed my mind", "He has changed his mind", and so on. This is often confirmed by a changed in action or complimentary reaction. It can be said that, the actions and inactions of humans is a reflection of the contents of their mind. The mind is a controller. Therefore, whoever gain access into the mind get control of the man.
Most times, we have feelings and deep emotions that we want to express, but inadequacy of the exact words to use limit us and we only end up only trying to describe using the available words.
There are times we communicate with people based on our convictions, but they are not able to understand because they can't have access to the big picture which only resides in our minds. This only make us wishing, "if only they were able to see, then they would have understood better."
To my understanding, inabilities to read minds, to know why people do things or behaves the way they do, is the root cause of conflicts and misunderstandings.
Telepathy can help us overcome these limitations, inadequacies and misunderstandings.
As a Christian, I am aware of several admonitions and emphasis on mind renewal or transformation to conform with the new life of being born again - a Christian.
For example, Romans 12:2 says,
"And be not conformed to this world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is good, acceptable, and perfect, will of God".
Also, Ephesians 4:23 says,
"And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;".
Inability to read peoples' mind have made us to live in assumptions, depending only on what people tell us. Sometimes, what people say are different from what is in their mind.
This phenomenon is called double minded and it was addressed in James 4:8,
"Draw nigh to God, and he will draw high to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded.
A man can only be your friend from his mind not only by what he says.
I have come to the understanding that, when there is a change or alteration, separation, termination or disappointment in a relationship like in marriage, business, politics etc, no party/person is totally ignorant of the development. It is usually premeditated and initiated by one side/person/party which always have prior knowlegde and get prepared for the eventualities, while the other side/person/party bear the brunt, surprisingly.
I want to have the superpower of telepathy (and I recommend it too), because it will help me to avoid getting into relationships and associations with people of different mind setup from mine.
It will also help me to dissociate from fake friends and business associates/partners and mitigate the effects of betrayal and evil conspiracies when friends decide to take such paths.
The most painful part of betrayal is usually, when it is coming from close friends and associates. They always stayed around, walk, eat, play and laugh with us, while there are evil thoughts and plans in their minds, planning on when and how to execute them, without our prior knowledge.
Jesus Christ had the superpower of telepathy, that is why he was able to know the plans of Judas Iscariot to betray Him.
Matthew 26:23 says,
"And he answered and said, He that dipped his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me".
Though Judas Iscariot was one of Jesus' disciple, dinning and winning with Jesus, he had a double mind, to betray Him.
I want the Superpower of Telepathy to read minds and beware of the plans of the next person to associate, avoid and take all the necessary cautions for safety and security.
