What would you do for a whale-vote?
So many posts flying by with people either complaining about how whales vote, or asking questions about why whales do not vote for them. The fact is, whale-votes are worth money, a lot of money.
It made me curious what some people on here would do for a whale-vote. I challenge you to do something great, crazy, entertaining, funny, or just plain weird. I want you to document it on video, and post it on here with the tag #whatwouldyoudo .
I am in no way promising that whales will appreciate your work and upvote it. In fact they probably will not. If you do this, just do it for the joy of doing something neat. This could be a fun interesting category, that will entertain members of the community. My upvote is not worth anything, maybe $0.01 on a good day, but I will vote any good #whatwouldyoudo posts.
Personally I would try to put out good content and become a valuable part of the community. If the "whales" like it GREAT, if they don't GREAT. We are a part of an awesome community full of amazingly talented people and that should be more important to us than fishing for whales upvotes. <3
I feel like that the monetary side of Steemit is stressed too much. Steemit is supposed to be a platform where people can share their opinion and have a fair go at getting publicity. And they can make an extra buck or two by doing it.
But right now, people are way too money minded. Many have come up with strategies to get whales to vote for them, perhaps by writing what whales like to see. But this shouldn't be the case.
We are discouraging many actual bloggers who have great content from using Steemit, because they see this guy who just copy pastes content to please the whales.
I'd provide them with at least one dank meme a day, for life!
Get them a klondike bar, and my loyalty for life
