Many people very often have such a feeling when it seems that an unfamiliar place has long been known. Such an experience is called the French motif dyjà vu, which can literally be translated as "a seen before".

Dejavu is experiencing 60-80% of people. This common feeling is little known to science. The appearance of deja vu is unpredictable and the cause of its occurrence is difficult to ascertain. However, at present there are several theories of deja vu.

So, one of the theories suggests the cause of the failure of the memory of a person. Scientists suggest that deja vu arises from the difference in short-term and long-term memory. The information is able to bypass the short-term memory, and to get immediately into the long-term memory.

Another theory is the reaction of the brain to familiar details. For example, deja vu can arise in this situation: a person enters an unfamiliar country in a pharmacy, and the details of the interior design are similar to the interior of a pharmacy that is already familiar.

The most common is the hypothesis of neuronal discharges. It tells about the cerebral cortex which is responsible for deja vu. Scientists have measured the activity of the brain of people with epilepsy. And surprisingly - such a department was the olfactory bark. Thus, scientists agreed that deja vu is the result of dysfunctional electrical discharges in the brain.

But scientists have also proved that such neuronal discharges arise in absolutely healthy people. An example is an involuntary shudder, which can sometimes occur when falling asleep. But researchers still believe that deja vu in patients and healthy people is a completely different phenomenon. In sick people, such experiences can last quite a long time, and in healthy people, these are only fleeting moments.

There are also many other theories that seem paranormal. These are such as a past life or a malfunction in the matrix.

Of course, these are only theories and assumptions, but the scientific process is constantly evolving. Sooner or later this mystery will find its solution. Our consciousness is not fully understood. It is unique. And such a phenomenon as deja vu, a vivid example of the uniqueness of human consciousness.

i do experience that feeling so is it that the activity seen as already happened before or is our brain playing tricks with us? don't really get it

Its beyond the reach of science, you can only speculate.
