It is also the second most populous city in Nigeria, after Lagos. It is the country's largest city by geographical area.

located in SouthWestern of the country Nigeria, it is a very well known city in Nigeria, being the first largest cities in the country.
At independence, the city of Ibadan was undoubtedly the city in West Africa and the third largest in Africa after Cairo and Johannesburg.
Ibadan continues to be a rich city full of friendly people and thriving businesses men. This city is also known for her ancient houses and buildings, with about two-thirds of houses present in Ibadan built many years ago.

Ibadan came into existence after the collapse of the Yoruba Oyo Empire, when several Yoruba renegades began settling in the area around the end of the 18th century.
One of the best institution in Nigeria is also located at the hub of this city called Ibadan.

These are the things that motivate me about this city:
(Liberty Stadium) now changed to (Obafemi Awololo Stadium).

The Nigerian Television Authority - also known as (NTA) is a Nigerian governments owned broadcasting corporation that was inaugurated in 1977, at inauguration it had monopoly on television broadcasting in the country. The NTA runs the biggest television network in Nigeria with stations in several parts of Nigeria, the network began with a takeover of regional television stations in 1976 by the then Nigerian military authorities and is widely viewed as the authentic voice of the Nigerian government.

Cocoa House.

Cocoa house was once the tallest building in tropical Africa. It is located in the city of Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state in Nigeria. The 105 metres building completed in 1965, was built from proceeds from commodities (e.g., Cocoa, Rubber and Timber) of the then western state of Nigeria.
Cocoa house is a property of Odua investment company limited and was formally called Ile Awon Agbe (House Of Farmers).
Peaceful and Accommodating Atmosphere.
Ibadan is known for her peaceful and accommodating occupants.
Disparateness, the popular saying that Ibadan accommodates everyone may not be true because violence, stealing and robbery rarely have a foothold in the peaceful city.
Cost of living is also favourable and corps members that have lived in Ibadan can easily testify to the fact that the cost of feeding and living in the city is relatively low compared to other cities in Nigeria such as Port Harcourt and Lagos.
The cost of goods and services is very cheaper than in other places.
Another advantage that Ibadan has is the easy and efficient transportation network with people moving about with fewer encounter. This is made possible by the effectiveness of the transport system present in the city.
The major merits of these city (Ibadan), is the closeness between this city and Lagos, it makes it possible for people to conveniently travel to and fro Lagos on for hustle. This also contributes greatly to the economic development of city.
Though I'm from Osun State but I was born and brought up in Ibadan.
