November 2017 Playlist
Every month I am going to publish a Spotify playlist of what I've been listening to. It's going to be succinct and made up of tracks new and old. Without further ado, the tracks. Click the link above to jump to it (unless some kind soul can tell me how to embed the player, because the embed code is not playing ball for me).
STL - No More Words
It's always a happy day to get a new STL release and this captivating and evolving fourteen minute dub swirl is one of the best things he's done.
Invisible Conga People - In A Hole (Dub)
There doesn't appear to be too much out there for Invisible Conga People. I stumbled across them thanks to a remix they did for Factory Floor on DFA. I'm liking the slow chug of the dub version of In A Hole with all it's weird synthiness.
DJ Richard - Path Of Ruin (Pain Mix)
White Material's DJ Richard returns to Dial Records with a follow up to his debut album. Path Of Ruin mixes dub and electro to great effect, perfectly suited to these grey short days.
AFX - Oberheim Blacet1b
I missed out on this in the midst of the Aphex Twin content storm from a while back. This is a full velocity acid assault with brassy sci-fi synths. Peak AFX.
Lord Of The Isles - Sunrise 89
Firecracker have been uploading a few of their back catalogue releases to Spotify, so this is a perfect time to amplify Lord Of The Isles's outstanding release there. One of the few uptempo tracks, Sunrise 89 is driving and breathless.
1800HaightStreet - Throats
I'd pretty much ended up desensitised to techno in recent times. The 1800HaightStreet album changed that all with an end to end no-nonsense release on Lobster Theremin. Throats is the digital bonus from the album, but one not to miss out on.
DJ Python - q.e.p.d.
Can't say I know much about DJ Python, and all I had to go on before listening to their album was a description that it was "pretty vibey." But it's absolutely perfect. A lovely electronic cocoon to shelter you from a harsh world.
Sasha - Wavy Gravy (Live at the Barbican)
After Sasha's orchestra debut at the Barbican, lips were flapping about the rendition of Xpander as the encore. Step back one track, however, and you'll indulge in a fantastic live version of Airdrawndagger highlight Wavy Gravy. Just check that piano finale to it.
Emra Grid - Signal
I can't say enough about this album. In fact, I shall be writing something bespoke for Steemit in the near future. Pitched between beauty and despair, Signal is one of the less dissonant moments from Shay's Vacation House.
Bibio - CAPEL CELYN
Bibio is a long established Warp Records artist, yet one I've not managed to gel with. All change with the Phantom Brickworks album, whose tracks are simple frozen loops of beauty. Check out this highlight to finish the playlist off.

Some super artists in your list. Will check out all of them!
It's a good little mix! I'm going to try and keep these bubbling on each month. Commute friendly, great for the download toggle and I carefully piece together the flow!
