I am back... Retrospective of Life! 🤒😷

in #life7 years ago (edited)

Some of you might have wondered... where was I... have I given up?
No... on the other way around! I needed to run after life... Real Life!

And I will tell you if you don't do it, then it can simply vanish away from around you like clouds change in the sky... making you feel powerless and without any strength to change things sometimes.

Last week one of my child's got ill, and it's one of those moments where o test huge differences between the real world, defined by rules, societies and values and the real life, defined by what you learn, witnessed and the relation with your experiences/interpretations. And the conclusion is guessable and maybe even evident for most of you... experience always wins! Real life is priceless compared with whatever knowledge you try to teach or transmit to someone. But during the last days, I have faced myself with a different paradigm, a different state I could somehow define in my mind to which I found hard to solve in terms of, how to prevent it next time!

The uncertainty of your beliefs, and here I do not intend to speak specifically about religion, but instead about all that makes you stand still and have faith in something when you can't either find a logical explanation for it and/or you never had that experience with.

So, I tried to match whatever I felt during these last days, against the above conclusion of the reality and, I found myself lost in terms of "How could I prevent this again...", simply because there are too many uncertainties on what you don't know and you try to understand. This is one of the reasons why science has to quantify everything. Because without it, it would not be possible to experiment right?

But what about trying to make the same thing with real lives?
I am guessing you immediately back off and say... NO WAY! Especially if it's someone from your family.

This is where my uncertainty comes in and where I can't find a solution to effectively say I am now able to repeat the "experiment" using my own beliefs... on other words, I can't be sure I can avoid something next time, given that I still do not have experience in it and/or have no knowledge/information about it.

All this looks like a super powers thing, but it's something that definitely invaded my mind during the last days, and I am sure many (if not all) of the parents would identify the same problematic reasons under health circumstances of their children.

Luckily or not, my child is now back home recovering from an intense week at the Hospital. And I know, a week is only one, but when you face yourself with most average facts (under developed countries) and the fact that a fever is nothing but just an infection reaction from the body, and you bear in your head that it will be just "standard" practice to cure it, it's when you can really get a surprise... and then, the only thing you want around you is, experience! Only that will be able to really get the chances high, on solving something you think it might just be "standard" but that in real life, can easily be something else!

My child had so many complications in a week time (8 days in fact) that I am myself surprised, how is he already at home! Nevertheless, a week looks nothing but a month for parents!

Still, some assumption is being made here, because "the week at the hospital" was almost after having the child suffering for 4 more days while doing attempts between GP (General Practice), Hospital and Home. And it is here, that all your beliefs FAIL! Only Experience can really make a difference here, in my opinion.

Anyways, be positive...

I have managed to have a great time with my child (after he got his senses back) that he will likely never forget (nor I). And from it, both of us will gather some valuable experience that in my case I will use to protect him in the future. He has also learned a lot, and I am sure it will bring A LOT more experience to him than in comparison to what it gave to me.

And we managed to get some nice stunts while playing PS4 with this Fully Upgraded Triumph Speed Triple (Ride for PS4)!

Between crashes, wheelies and sliding, we managed to get some pretty really good laughs!

My last words!

Live your life... for now, it's just your only one.

WOow! That's a very generous upvote @hendrikdegrote and @curie. Thank you for that. I am going to use this amount and have some fun with my children. Buying a Lego, seeing a movie or maybe the game above plus the PS4 and make a surprise for Christmas time.

It really means something to see how simple gestures can make new smiles! 🙂

Feels good when you get a massive upvote from a whale. I know the feeling. Hahaha

Congrats! You're a winner of @msg768's daily giveaway #56. To find out more, click HERE.

Welcome back BTW! And I'm glad to hear your child is back home! :]

Lost my count on how many wins I got on it. But I will definitively keep voting on it. Thanks for doing it though.
