Ruby and the magical shoes

Hello my dearest friends and parents, the story line continues to impress anyone who reads it, Ruby's life is just settling for worse, she must have been very disappointed with all that had been happening.

Soon the test results were out and probably as expected, Ruby scored full marks on the test. The teacher was prompted to make an encouraging statement to Ruby

"I usually thought that being so pretty, Ruby might be puffed up with pride, but she mellows down to read her books and wrote excellently well, I don't know why your sister's got a low score but I believe it must have been a relapse, Keep up the good work"
Ruby was so encouraged by the statement, during break the popular boy approached Ruby

Hey pretty" Ted told Ruby

"Hey" Ruby replied, she was actually shy, as a normal teenager, she had emotional feelings, though she never had any soft spot for Ted, but he was also intelligent though.

"Congrats on the test, I tried hard but I settled for second place, but you wrote well, actually it's a little troublesome at home, but I'm happy with the position I settled for though" Ted replied

Ruby suddenly felt an urge to ask what the matter was, after all her family was also a mess too,
"What's going on with your family?" Ruby asked as her instincts directed her to

Ted was surprised, she was the only one that showed real interest in his family matters.

"My parents divorced, and I now have to choose who to stay with, wealth isn't everything, they are both wealthy but no love, I wish when I grow up I'll find real love" Ted replied

"I'm really sorry for you, my situation isn't any better, just because my dad died, my stepmother, decides to make life unbearable for me, and my stepsisters are not making it any better" Ruby surprisingly revealed.

That encounter made them to be closer each other, Time flew fast and soon they were In SS3 her stepmother had practically reduced her to nothing but a maid, she was lucky to have the privilege to go to school.

They wrote their junior Waec and with little savings, Ruby bought a phone, she intended to further her education, but her aunt always hindered her progress.

One day while sweeping her father's old attic she stumbled on a very important piece of information, it had been a long time since she had cleaned that place up, or she had never cleaned it up since she was born.

That piece of information is what would change her life for good.
