Turkey in English (Turkey). Meliagrididae family is a kind of large-sized birds. They look like chickens but are relatively large. A type of wild turkey lives in the forests of North America and Central America. The domesticated turkey is a variant of this species. Another living species is Meliagris ocellata or the eye-marked turkey, which inhabits the forested areas of the Yucatan Peninsula. Turkeys are kept as domestic birds all over the world.

How to raise turkey chickens at home:

The popularity of turkey chicken is increasing day by day in our country. So apart from the farm, it is also being observed at home. Conservation of domesticated turkeys has resulted in the now popular bronze turkey hens. Currently, this turkey chicken is being reared more. Many neighbors around the house are raising these turkey chickens. From here they are earning a lot of money. Several breeds of turkeys have now been created through standard breeding. These varieties include bronze, white holland, barbon, red, black, schlette etc. Bronze breed turkeys are usually reared in Bangladesh. They look very beautiful with white markings on the tail and wing tips. Body feathers have copper to bronze markings. They look very colorful.

Turkey chicken meat and egg calculation:

An adult bronze tom weighs 16.5 kg and an adult bronze hen weighs over 9 kg. A one-year-old bronze tom weighs 15 kg and a one-year-old bronze hen weighs 4 kg. Each bronze hand lays 40 to 80 eggs per year.
