Vietnam Travel Vlog - My Tho Night Market
Hey guys! Last time we went to a little fish market in My Tho. Now we are on our way to my mother's origin, a little village on the outskirt of My Tho. Out of respect, I didn't film any of our experience. I can tell you how the humidity was so high as it was in a little dense forest. The relatives was really warm and welcoming. They also gave us fresh coconuts, just picked from the tree, talk about fresh.
On our way there we passed a little fish and meat market. They were selling fresh pippis, fish, snails, crabs wrapped in red string, all sorts of meat and fruits. We also saw another old lady selling lottery tickets as incentives from the government.
After a great time with my mother's relatives in their little village, we headed to a shopping mall. It was a little mall but we were only there for some alcohol and quick snacks. Alcohol is for walking around the night market tonight in My Tho.
Got back to the hotel and rested a little bit. At around 7PM we walked towards the night market just close by where we are staying. Heaps of stuff was on sale and it's way cheaper compared to the city markets. It's almost half price but some are dodgy, you have to know your prices or they will surely take advantage.
The market was selling food, clothes, furniture, electrical, hardware, pretty much a one stop shop. It was really packed though and again, the humidity in crowded, small space is unbearable. We ended the night there, not really, we drank 'till morning and we called it. I'm done.
