Christopher Nolan Tells us about the Joker /// Advances of Star Wars 9

in #movies6 years ago (edited)

Hello to the entire GEEK Community of Steemit, it is a great honor for me to be here with all of you, sharing what I like most, I am a GEEK who loves the world of Cinema, Comics and Television Series.

I am a student of Social Communication, I am 20 years old and a collection of 1,000 comics, I hope that all of you can enjoy my POST dedicated to bring you the best information where I will tell you about the latest movies and television premieres.

It's been 10 years since the premiere of 'The Dark Knight' and there is still information about the Heath Ledger Joker and how he got the role thanks to Christopher Nolan.

Jonathan Nolan brother of Christopher Nolan and screenwriter of the film of 'The Dark Knight' (2008) has commented how the director had to face everything and everyone so that the actor Heath Ledger was the Joker.

Christopher Nolan: "When I wrote 'The Dark Knight', Chris (Christopher Nolan - his brother) had to decide how we would approach the Joker. Chris had a good meeting with Heath Ledger. And nobody understood it, I did not understand it, the study did not understand it. And the fan community was ... we were accused of it. "Disaster, the worst casting decision of all time!" Chris simply stood firm in his position. It was about not giving the fans what they were asking, but what they wanted, that is, find a seriously fucking actor, someone who comes and breaks this paper into pieces. "

Over time it proved to be a great decision. His work was praised by critics, fans and spectators in general. He also received the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for playing a chaotic Joker that made life impossible for Batman.

Christopher Nolan has shown that he has a good eye to choose the actors.

Besides choosing Heath Ledger as the Joker, he also decided that Anne Hathaway was Catwoman. A decision that everyone criticized at the time. But his performance was magnificent. He is also a director who loves to work with a group of actors that give good results. As for example Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine. Since they have repeated in the trilogy of the Dark Knight, 'Origin' (2010) or 'Interstellar' (2014).

In short, many times when an actor is announced for a role you have to let him do his work and criticize him when the film has been released. Since it may surprise us, at first it does not convince us. As Heath Ledger did with the Joker thanks to Christopher Nolan.

Matt Smith, who was the Doctor Who number 11, tab for the cast of 'Star Wars 9' and will be a "key role" in the final Episode IX.

Such good news! The signings to this franchise of a galaxy very, very far away, do not stop happening and the last incorporation that Episode IX has made is, nothing more and nothing less, than the very British actor Matt Smith. As reported by the newspaper Variety exclusively, the former star of 'Doctor Who' has signed with Lucasfilm to play a "key role" in 'Star Wars 9', the end of the sequel trilogy that is currently running J.J. Abrams. Despite the excitement of having Matt Smith, who was Doctor Who in the past, in 'Star Wars 9', the truth is that we do not have any details about his character and we do not know for sure if he will be on the oppressed side of the Resistance or on the oppressive side of the First Order.

Matt Smith rose to fame and international fame after playing the eleventh incarnation of the iconic Time Lord in 'Doctor Who' and, since then, has appeared in films as important in number of followers as the failed 'Terminator Genesis' and the recognized 'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies'. Recently, he was nominated for the Emmy Awards for his work as Prince Philip in the Netflix series of 'The Crown'. Speculation about his role in Episode IX will soon appear in the next hours on social networks (yes, we also think he would be a good Grand Admiral Thrawn), so be very attentive to the web throughout this week .

There is still a year and a half left for Episode IX, 'Star Wars 9' opens next December 2019, so there is still a year and a half to wait and, therefore, we should not expect to have official material until, at least, April next year. It is on those dates when the Lucasfilm convention will take place and we will be able to know more details; for example, the official title of the movie whose rumor mill points to 'New Order'. Very interesting…

Thank you very much for reading my first POST I hope you liked it and come back at the next opportunity.
