Steemit Engagement Challenge S5-W3: If Only

Good morning dear Steemians in steem for betterlife the theme of today is “if only…”
Most of the time, this statement is for regrets, asking yourself if you would have a different outcome if you took the other path when the opportunity was presented to you.

If Only...

If only I listened my father that day may be I would have had a brighter future today, I was in form three when my parents decided to transfer me from martin Luther king’s college to the government Bilingual High School Bafoussam where I met new friends and new partners with whom I will play I was that brilliant in school but instead very lazy yet intelligent.

After school I usually go and play with my friends in the football pitch near our campus before I go back home. I was not really serious concerning school consequently I was one with the poorest average in our class until the principal had to call my parents in school. That day my father was very disappoint at me because of my average. I was feeling bad so I started working hard so as to remove the shame on me, and my class notes and average stated increasing.

If only I listened my father On that Wednesday, where he asked me to come back from school earlier and go and pick up my little sister from her school. I did not listen to him and went with my friends to played football together.

Unfortunately, that day I had a terrible accident and had a bone fracture and I was sent to the hospital. It took me sometime before I could recover. I spent the whole academic year without me playing football again, instead I continued with walking sticks for a long time before I could give up on it, and the end result is that I repeated form three.

If only I listened to my father that Wednesday may be I would have improved my class average and promoted to the next class.
If only I listened to my father may be I would have had a brighter future than today.
Or it is because I particularly did not listen him that day that I have this character today
If only …
