SPEAK LESS, LISTEN MORE!

🔑📖Key Verse: "Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath" (James 1:19).

Oftentimes, we talk a lot while others listen to us, and we may not even give them a chance to speak too. We derive fun and pleasure in talking too much! As children of God, we should learn to speak less and listen more.

We should always be ready to listen and understand before passing out judgment. So many people have gone away from the faith because there was no one to listen to them. Most of our friends have left us because we always talk and do not want to listen.

Learn to listen to others. Listen to your elders, your parents and leaders. While listening, you will gain more knowledge. If you have nothing good to say, it is better to keep quiet and say nothing at all.

If you are talkative, you will end up sinning. The Bible clearly states that, in the multitude of words there is sin. As God's children, we should learn to comport ourselves. You shouldn't always be on the list of noisemakers in class. Learn to be quiet and listen more.

If anybody tells you something bad about someone, try not to believe such stories until you have heard the person's own account. Speak less and listen more!
