Introduction

Another week has come and gone. Another report has to be made. It was really a tough week for me as I took 4 days off for a sick leave. It really affected my activities for the week. However, I was still able to get some stuff accomplished. So here is the report of my activities for the week that ended on 10/10/2021.

SteemRoad show day 10

The Steem Roadshow has come to stay. It is probably the largest organized Steem campaign here in Nigeria. Two days in the week, we go out to create awareness in very busy areas of the city. Last Tuesday, I took the team to Bata junction. This particular road intersection is one of the busiest in the city with vehicle and pedestrian traffic. It was a massive campaign as we spoke to lots of people about Steemit. We did 4 sign ups and many will come onboard later. I have made a more detailed report of our activities for that period. You can read about it below:

2. Printing and designing a new flier for Steem Promotion

Fliers are important to our promotional activity. As we go for the Steem Road show, we need fliers to pass the message across. So as we ran out of fliers, I decided to design a new one for the team. Since there is no use reinventing the well, I decided to work with a template online and modify it. It took a better part of 1 hour to get the job done. It was really nice. I printed 400 copies for our Steem Road show and other promotional activity. Here is the design.

3. Guiding @feyol55 to publish his first homework rated 7.5

I am delighted to announce that my first recruit to join the academy has published his first homework. The bigger news is that he has been scored 7.5. This is the result of dedicated assistance to him. Several phone charts and messages exaplaining everything from plagiarism and use of borrowed content to formatting and structuring of content. Here are some of the screenshots of our endless messages.

Below is a link of his very first two homeworks. The first one was rated 7.5 and the second one was just published few hours ago. I was really excited to see weeks of mentorship turn up a great result. Check them out:

4. I joined #club5050 by powering up 1000 Steem

I was invited to join the #club5050 and I accepted by swapping all my SBD and powering up 1000 Steem. This is really cool. Right now, my SP has grown to 7k SP and I cant wait to do more big powerups. I loved the idea because it provides a structured way to invest and spend earned tokens. Here is a post where I shared other opinions about the project.

5. Ongoing Mentorship

We work from Monday to Saturday at the Aba training center. We do mentorship and training to help students learn about Steemit and start up. Our trainings on Saturdays are fixed. But everyday, newbies come in to make enquiries and get some questions answwered. I use this opportunity to thank @samuel20 for the amazing job he does as one of our permanent trainers.
