The last 48 hours has been one of the toughest for many crypto lovers. We know that the market prices of cryptocurrencies can go down without warning. But what many have never experienced is that it can go so low that many crypto assets lost more than 50% of their value. Many crypto lovers and investors struggle to believe what they are seeing each time they open their crypto app - their assests are depreciating fast, with no plans of slowing down.

Some newbies and even older members have sent me screenshot of their Steemit wallet dollar value and asked what is going on. A few have told me they are depressed and lack any strength to continue publishing now. The overall atmosphere is in the crypto community is not so great. This is where we are right now. Given the prevailing circumstances, it is important to answer the following questions:

If you have been around the crypto space for some time now, this should not be your first time of seeing the price of cryptocurrencies dip. For those that are just new, a bear market happens when the prices of cryptocurrencies decline over a considerable period of time. We have seen a sudden dip in the price of cryptocurrencies in the last 48 hours, which may be signs of a bear market, or may not. In any case, the prices of many cryptocurrencies are down in the last 48 hours.

So dear friends new or old, this is not happening to Steem alone. It is a dip that has affected many cryptocurrencies including the stable value coin - USDT. Be rest assured that it is not a Steem problem as some newbies are already believing. Rather, whatever happens in the crypto market also affects Steem because it is a cryptocurrency. Whenever the market recovers, Steem will recover too. But while the current situation lingers, what should be the proper mindset for all content creators on Steemit? How am I affected and how do I handle this? Lets See!

What am I am doing now?

The mood is not great in the crypto community. A friend called me and said his morale is very low. I have seen on social media of few unconfirmed deaths attributed to this sudden loss of assets as a result of the price dip. This is common and we have seen it severally before now.

The truth is that noone smiles when their assets are losing value per second. It can even affect your state of mind and general well-being. Some are panicking and selling off their assets in fear. Among the writing community here on Steemit, we will see a drop in the number of posts published because of the prevailing circumstances in the crypto market. Possibly, you have purchased some coins and the dip has eaten deep into your investments. Generally, it wont be an easy thing to experience. First of all, while you may not have any control over is happening now, as a publisher on Steemit, there are things you could be doing now to stay active and productive. Lets take a look at those things.

What should I do now?

1. Do not panic. Stay Calm: This is the first and most important things. Shock, depression or other negative feelings will render you powerless. So take a deep breath, listen to soothing music, take a walk, do something you enjoy doing. Something that will lighten your mood. Whatever it is that you enjoy doing will likely put you at ease in these trying times.

2. Write More, Engage more: Like I mentioned above, some publishers on Steemit will stop writing now. Some will reduce the number of publications they do because the price is not great and they are not happy. It simply means that with fewer publications available, your articles will have a greater chance of getting support - remember votes are not guranteed though. But then, the few people that will stay active in this period will have more opportunities of lancing support.

So dear friends, start writing more and not look at the price of Steem, Tron and other cryptos. One interesting thing about Steemit is that we earn cryptos here with zero risk of funds. Yes we are not buying Steem with our money, we are earning it through creative writing. So whatever the price is, we are winning, isn't it? So basically, there is no reason to stop writing. Instead, now is the time to write more, so that your publication will be among the few that will likely get support. Remember, when the going gets touch, the tough gets going!!!

The Price above is a dream just few days ago. It would have been unbelievable if someone predicted this. But here we are. Steem is trading at one of the lowest ever prices in recent times. Can you take advantage of this price dip and increase your influence on the Steem blockchain by purchasing more steem? I highly recommend that you buy Steem now, but like I warned above, this is not financial advice at all. Study the market and decide either to buy or not - you are resposible for the outcome.
