3 Things that stop you from reaching your goals!

Introduction

You set the target or goal. You set the time. Suddenly, the set time came and went and nothing was achieved. You shouted at yourself or became completely speechless. How did it happen again? Why are you at the same place again? These things happen and people fail to reach their goals. Though you became frustrated, you need to sit up again and analyze why you failed to achieve your goals within the set time. There could be several reasons why people do not reach their goals, but below are three factors that contributed to most failures:

1. Taking big steps: This has been a factor in most failures. Often, some people are so ambitious that they design and start to take steps that are too big to even think of. Sometimes, the size and fear of such steps even cripple the person to inaction. Even when they try, because its not an easy or simple thing to do, the person fails. So next time, divide each big step into further smaller tasks that can be accomplished easily and fast. Each small progress naturally leads to the next and before you knew it, you've climbed a big mountain.

2. Fear of failure: Personally I was a victim of this factor. I will begin a week full of ambition and eagerness. With goals or targets to achieve. Then comes the first day of the week, and am afraid even to start because I think - or believed - I will fail. Before I knew what, the week was over and I never even took a step. It happens to many people too. So learn to avoid fear of failure. First, take a step. Give it a try. Make efforts. Don't conclude yet what the outcome would be until you've seen it. The drive to succeed should be bigger than the fear of failure. That is the only way to get off the ground and pursue your goals.

3. Lack of discipline: Most people expect to achieve goals while still maintaining a life of comfort. Unfortunately, that is completely wrong. Achieving your goals involve making lots of sacrifices and sticking to the steps without distractions. A person that wants to loose weight but still eats anything will get nowhere. A runner in a race who steps to wave at family and friends will not win anything. So it is with achieving goals. You need to maintain straight focus and never look at things left behind. Make sacrifices and stick to them. That way, you can focus on your goals and achieve them.

Conclusion

Setting goals is important but achieving them is most vital. Consider seriously the 3 factors above and any other thing that works towards helping you achieve your goals. Success is within reach, but taking the wrongs steps take your goals beyond reach.

Again great work and support I day just get out there and do it but it can be hard to step out of the ordinary and risk it.

What goals have you set for yourself? Have you reached them yet and have you assigned new goals in the process?

If things do not go as you expected on the first try, keep insisting and persist with that. The most difficult goals are for the great warriors of mind and strong spirit.

@focusnow, It's really unfortunate that people stops after first step and most of the times first step fills with lot expectations and when these expectations are not fulfilled then people take it as failure. But in reality every success depends upon the smaller things and by that mean, we have to take small steps with consistency so that we can build effective foundation and this foundation can strengthen our path to success. Stay blessed.

The most important thing for me is the idea of breaking up the big steps into smaller ones. Keep breaking them down as small as they can be. This way they can be accomplished quickly and also are not so intimidating.

If one task turns into 30, then in a month you will be done with daily action. You can also check off the tasks for motivation, and do things out of order. This is how I try to do anything that seems to be too hard at first.

if you want to succeed you have to get out of your comfort zone. You have to just go for it! You have to sell! You have to talk to people! Just do it! People have their lives to live, so when you pitch them, they will just think only about what they are doing 2 minutes later and never think about it later. They will wish they were brave like you and went for their dream! Just get out there and sell and you can make your dream come true! Flip the tables! What if you had to ask 100 people for a sale and you will get 95 nos but 5 will say yes and you make $5,000? I would say I have 30 days in a month. 100/30 = 3.33 a day. I will ask 10 a day AT LEAST and get my 95 nos over with in just 10 days. Then I make $5,000. Then I have an opportunity to make $15,000. Just get it over with! Learn with each experience!
