If the green belt is damaged, repairing four bricks will cost nearly RMB 10,000. How was this price determined? Why is it so expensive?
The cost of repairing four curb stones is nearly 10,000. You ask me how the price was determined? This is not their usual style. Just touch the upper lip and the lower lip to get as much as you want! What a crazy rock.
As you can see from the photo, the place where the road connects with the greenery is made of granite curb stones, which are indeed a bit more expensive than ordinary concrete curb stones. This is very common on municipal roads. The "high-definition" mentioned by the municipal unit here is actually different from what we understand, because this place is a turning point, and the curb stone does need the manufacturer to customize the template cutting according to the turning radius of the road. Some turning radius may be 4m, 6m, 9m, etc., unlike parallel roads which may all be flat or standing stones of uniform specifications.
But even so, the specifications of corner curb stones used on municipal roads are basically very common, and the mold can be reused after the mold is opened and cut. For large customers such as municipal units, just ask the manufacturer to send a few more pieces. It's okay to come here, because the project will inevitably be damaged during the construction and maintenance stages.
The comprehensive unit price of the granite curb stones we are currently constructing is only 102 yuan/m, which includes the basic cushion, material fees, labor and machinery fees and installation fees for the curb stone construction. Moreover, this kind of corner curb stone will not be calculated separately in the bill of quantities. It is generally calculated in terms of extension meters. Let's make a simple estimate, assuming that the actual length to be replaced is 10m, which only costs 1,000 yuan. Even with the additional freight and manual machinery, it will cost at most 2,000 yuan. Therefore, for the municipal government to ask for a high replacement cost of nearly 10,000 yuan, I can only say that this is really a consistent routine of municipalities and other monopoly companies.
Coincidentally, this kind of thing has happened before. It has been reported before that a driver accidentally crashed into a 15-meter guardrail on a municipal road in Yibin, Sichuan. According to the compensation schedule, the price of damaging the central isolation railing was 1,800 yuan per meter, and the total price for 15 meters was 27,000 yuan. The detailed list also includes ten expenses including material transportation fee of 20,000 yuan, construction period loss fee of 30,000 yuan, and construction fee of 20 workers of 10,000 yuan, totaling 106,630 yuan.
Later, after the incident was reported in the media, the municipal transportation department admitted that it had falsely reported nearly 100,000 yuan. After negotiation, the two parties finally agreed that the compensation amount was 11,950 yuan, including 750 yuan per meter for the 15-meter guardrail and 350 yuan per person for the construction fee of the two workers.
The issue of high compensation prices for damage to public facilities has been criticized, and it has also exposed the phenomenon of chaotic pricing of urban infrastructure construction. The root cause is actually opaque prices, unstandardized processes, and the tough actions of competent authorities.
This incident of "sky-high price for gates and sky-high price for railings" once again reminds us that the pricing problem of urban infrastructure construction needs to be solved urgently. As ordinary people, damage compensation is an obligation, but we need to clearly know the compensation pricing standards and what we need is an objective, fair and transparent system.
