In what was a shocker to me, BlockFi is offering 6% (compounded monthly interest or 6.2% annual) for Bitcoin depositers. They hold and loan your Bitcoin and you get a return.

There is no required holding period like a traditional Bank CD (which proabably are offering between 1-2% interest at best).

BlockFi is a regulated custodian for cryptos and backed by Gemini.

I guess BTC is becoming more than “digital gold”. Who gives you 6% interest on gold holdings?

Very interesting. Wil Litecoin soon be added?

    Is it safe to keep the BTC there? 6 percent sounds really great return though
