The Maritime Museum of San Diego is one of the highlights of the San Diego Bay. Here you will discover a world-class collection of some of the finest ships to have sailed the world's oceans. San Salvador, the beautiful vessel pictured above, had the honor of being the first European Ship of any fleat to reach our West Coast. This magnificent vessel is amazing for those who enjoy history. It is even possible at times to sail aboard this spectacular sixteenth century Clipper Ship. Think about seeing California through the eyes of Spanish explorers who roamed the seas in the sixteenth century. Travel the ocean seeing history through the eyes of immigrants coming to California. Immigrants who were hungry and eating only hard tac, yet made it alive. What an amazing tour!

Local elementary schools organize sleep-overs on the historical ships. It seemed like fun.

Sleeping over or sailing over night is a lot of fun. For sure a Clipper Ship adventure!
