Waterfall at the Großglockner
On my trip to the Großglockner this year in summer, we mainly took pictures of animals and mountains, but we also visited some nice waterfalls where a lot of water is coming out a small hole in the rocks. This is something pretty cool if you can see the spring (or one of seveveral springs) from a waterfall that gets pretty huge in the end. You would never believe such a small spring is the offspring of the waterfall, but several springs combined can bring a huge amount of water to the waterfall in the end.

It was pretty exhausting carrying all the photo equipment up the hills, but i am sure it was worth it. It's always a difficult desicion for me if i should bring the big and heavy 150-600 mm lens with me or leave it at home. Because you never know if an intersting animal or bird is showing up and if it does then you are lost with an wide angle lens that i use most of the time for landscape pictures or pictures of a waterfall like this. But in the mountains i often only take a wide angle lens with me except i know that i am going to find an interesting animal.
Next year maybe i want to doa little bit more macro photography. But it is still not sure if i can do hiking tours because of my accident with my quadiceps tendum. So i probably will do several smaller tours but not necessarily on the mountain. Eastern Austria with smaller hills or flat land will probably be the main target destination for this years trips.
I love waterfalls - they are so energizing 💚🦋🌈
Yes, some people even go there if they are ill to cure the illness, i was told that because the water fell so far down the hill, the air is composed of very small water particles and it is very good for your health.
