Fox at Lake Neusiedler
In 2017 i had the luck to take some pictures of a fox at lake Neusiedler. Together with 2 friends of mine (Stefan and Sabine) i was hiding in a photohide to take some pictures of waterbirds in the morning. We where there very early before sunrise and waited for the birds to show up. At about 7 o clock in the morning we where lucky and this fox showed up.
It was the first time i saw a fox that close. It was hunting birds at the coastline of the Lake Neusiedler. We didn't see if he was lucky but i hope for him. When he was passing our hide he took a quick glance at us and then dissapeared. Unfortunately there was some high grass between us and the fox so the picture is not cristall clear and you can see some green blur of the high grass there that was moving in the wind.

You were fortunate to get that photo as they don't stay around very long when seeing people.
Yes this is true, the fox stopped for some seconds saw into our eyes and than the fox ran away.
