I really love beautiful and colorful birds, one of the most beautiful birds is the kingfisher in my opinion and i had the luck to take a picture of it in the zoo of Innsbruck last summer. The weather was perfect and the kingfisher was awaiting it's fishes, so i really hat the opportunity to take some clear shots of this very shy bird. After it cought a fish we couldn't see it anymore. I really like the intense blue and orang color this bird has.
I am still dreaming of taking a picture from a kingfisher in wildlife and this will be a project of mine for the next few years. With the 600mm lens i have a lens to get close enough to the animal without it noticing. And a kingfisher with a fish in it's beak is my favorite image i still have to take.
