So many delegations

At the moment a Steemian has a lot of projects to choose from

Bid bots, gambling dapps, dlike, steem hunt, leasing out Steempower via minnowbooster...there is a lot to choose from.

All want your Steempower and will pay you a dividend.

Bidbots

They have been around already since I ve started here.

First it was only a few, now we have an army of them.

If you look at trending you will usually find the same names over and over again which got this masterpiece to the front side.

smartsteem, rocky1, therising etc are some of the usual suspects.

From what I ve read you can expect around 15% ROI.

Personally I am very torn about bots so for now that is not an option for me.

Gambling dapps

Since magicdice launched really successful, I seem to read about a new dice game coming up every week.

Not really sure why we need so many, especially as they seem to all look the same for me.

If you get in early you can farm their tokens with a better rate seems to be reason enough.

Tokens can be farmed by playing or usually by delegating and you get a share of the house winnings regarding how many tokens you hold.

Of course there needs to be traffic on the site and people need to loose if you want to get paid.

The ROI differs therefore a lot.

There has been drama about the token distribution as the harder the token is to farm the less people play.

I have not followed the daily transactions and therefore I do not know how much interest there is anymore in those dice games.

I believe a lot of them will not get the necassary traffic to stay relevant so delegating to the wrong one will show no ROI at all, especially the ROI is smallish and you kind of hope people continue to play while you get your rewards a life time but the rewards will diminish over time as more and more people get their tokens.

Still interesting if you happen to choose the winner of the gambling dapps wars and if people keep playing after all tokens are distributed.

Steem hunt; Dlike

I will put them together as both reward you with tokens which will or already are tradeable on an exchange.

Steem hunt will give you an ROI of 20% and it will be paid in a mix of Steem, SBD and the Hunt token. So you will not have the same amount of rewards every week as it depends on the price of Steem and the Hunt token.

I have not digged too deep into Dlike but there is a set exchange rate of 1:1 so for every Steem you delegate you will earn 1 dlike token.

The first IEO was done on idcmkorea with a price of 0.025 USD per token but I could not find any information how many they sold.

This makes Steem special in my book as if I don`t feel like posting anymore there are several ways I can have my Steem still working for me.

But it also brings one "problem" (at least in my eyes) which I like to call "double dipping".

I think if you want to post and interact with other Steemians you should hold some of your Steem as active Steempower in your wallet. I don`t think it is ok to delegate 90%+ to a bot etc and keep posting but cant give anything back anymore. But that is just me...you do whatever you want, it is a free blockchain after all.

Did I miss anything?

Let me know

Sort:

You can also delegate to other steemians using minnowbooster or delegationhub. The apr depends on the conditions they offer.

hahah ich weiss nicht vielleicht hatte ich zuviele :-)

I think it is a valid point @flipstar especially the part about giving back by supporting other... especially the newer Steemians.

Hopefull #spud helps with all this making Steem Power more valuable.

Well said, you didn’t miss anything apart that I’d love to have a link to delegate to @dlike or @steemhunt. Thanks as I anticipate your reply @flipstar

You can also vote selling through minnowbooster or lease sp like you have said. Many more to come. Steemit have a bright future ahead

Obviously 40% of steemian does this, the capitalistic tendency to earn too much has taken away the peer to peer contributions, if we delegate all sp, how do we now support fellow content creator?

where you get 40% from?

I assume it will get more niched down. For example you post under a certain tag or via a certain site and will be part of their "own" eco system.
Steem hunt will only vote for Steemhunt posts for example.

This might happen also to art, photography etc

You are right you should hold a some Steem Power in order to give your followers a decent Vote for their comments.....

not even only this but also to support others content but how much I dont know. Atm 50% of my sp is leased out as well

we need to create our own project

I am too dumb and too broke :-)

Seems like there's a new gambling dapp every other day. I guess it's because they're easy to make or at least the dice ones are.

Don't think the payouts there will be sustainable so i withdrew the delegation after a while.

It is just not fun or at least not for me to play there.

I assume most people play for the tokens and stop if they feel they have enough and hope others keep playing...

I think the model is okish but not as it is now as they look not this appealing as well

And yeah I doubt they this hard to make

Excellent review @flipstar and I think you described in detail the possibilities for delegation and you are right, this makes the Steem very versatile!

let us see how this play out but a year ago I did not see this coming
