My thoughts on bots round 103 --- Block users from using them if they above Rep 60 --- Make Reputation great again
I have though out loud about this topic multiple times
I think in theory buying votes could have a place in our middle.
But as it is used now I am not sure anymore...
When I read posts from bots bragging how much Steem they were able to add to their bot it always leave a sour taste in my mouth.
I know the Steem they would get would not automaticly be powered up by someone else but what I think is a trend wort a couple of thought is that everyone is able to sell his votes now.
You can often read about how people praise Steemit because they can receive rewards by giving to others.
But the trend seem to go to rent out your Steem or become a part of a bid for vote bot.
I dont really want to talk about the sense or nonsense of bots.
As I stated I think they can be useful.
I used them myself and probably will do so again in the future. I also delegated to several bots and rented out my steem as well and who know if I get sick of Steemit again I might do it again.
So please dont imagine me like I would be talking from a high horse because I am really not and more spitballing.
The first time I read about bots it was said they should support the little guy, the newcomer so he can advertise his content and stand out of the sea of bullshit and get a kickstart.
The more you invest the better your "airtime" and if you invest enough your post will be a superbowl commercials which is trending here.
People will see you and if they like you and your content even follow and upvote you.
Which is ridiculous in my eyes.
If you bid on a vote you can do your research or just roll the dice if a vote will be profitable or not and besides that do you think Coca Cola can go to the network and complain that their commercial did not pump up their sales enough they broadcasted during the Superbowl?
It was about visibility, not auto profit.
If you want auto profit do your research and pick your spots.
Often you can see 1 person bidding on multiple post of them in one round, which is seems kind of super stupid ( I got told I should not use the word retarded anymore which is kind of retarded).

Block people from using Bots after a certain reputation
I think 60 would be good.
Don´t make them or delegating SP to them too profitable otherwise we will be in a voting desert were no one votes for anyone if they don`t get paid for + their curation reward.
I saw many whose rep is as high as 63 making craps(Also,no one notices their post and they completely rely on bots!) It is not an unknown thing..But they have not much steem power with them irrespective of their reputation..I came across an account having rep 70 with an SP less than 1000!(The person hadn't delegated to any too).
My point is if reputation is the only criteria,it won't do justice to what you want to achieve..Look at SP..Grouping should be based on steem power when it comes to bots.
It is possible the person is cashing out all the time. Also the rep is then probably only coming from the bots.
If it would be restricted it would mean that reputation would be more meaningful again
Yep it is the point, that most of the people are using bots because they hope for good profits not for the visibility.

Your reputation is no guarantee for high rewards or even for any upvotes.
You can have a reputation of over 60 an still earn nearly nothing on many posts.
What I think would be a better change is that your reputation doesn't increase because of bots.
Unfortunately I think it would be very difficult to implement this into the steem Blockchain.
The system can't always see if someone paid for an upvote or not.
Greediness is always endless. Why would they want to block high reputation people if they can pay the most?
well this will be a great idea infact i never used a bot since now and seems like many people are irritated by that trending page and i think this idea might help out

Genauso wie das Leasen von Steempower, gut es bringt Gleichheit für jene die weniger Geld haben aber ab nem gewissen Level an SP ist es fraglich. SP ist vor allem dafür da, Vertrauen in die Plattform zu bekunden (ist ja immerhin sehr riskant).
Find ich jut, dass Du - mal wieder - laut über Bots nachdenkst.
Eine Begrenzung via Rep. leuchtet mir ad hoc nicht ein. Aber ich denke die Tage darüber nach.
You actually had a nice thought but if i will also reason along some line, reputation on steemit do not mean strength. One might have a 61 reputation and still have a low voting power. I think the best is those with a higher reputation says 60+ should have a restriction to how they use bot.
As per bot supporting minnow works, i haven't seen much of that around. Most bot demands high steem/sbd before they help in resteeming and this in turn does not guarantee a high turnout of vote.
With 70+ rep you should have a decent following already or you boosted your way up with shitty content.
High rep and no Sp don`t matter it is possible that one has a high rep and is cashing out the steem.
As I stated the bots don`t need or should guarantee a turnout on the vote.

People are not getting upvoted, that is why they are forced to use bots.
if the whales and those with high steem power, start upvoting a lot more people with lower account, I don't think people will use bid bots again.
Is reputation 60 a guarantee that you will be very visible?
no. but with rep 60 you already got a couple of votes and probably had some successful posts already.

idea is really good but doesn't seem to be happening because only money matters here for big people
