My coming Juice Fast

in #health7 years ago

To prepare mentally I will announce and blog about my coming juice fast. I will start after my birthday which is in one week (we already made plans) and will be going for at least 7 days but I am thinking about doing more but I am not totally decided yet.

(just one of many to choose)
I did several juice fasts before and after the first 3 days I was starting to feel amazing.

Therfore the first 3 days were like hell. Also I am planning to quit smoking with it (well it is a cleansing so I shouldnt smoke then anyway) this why I am thinking about going for more then a week.

It will be easier this time since I can buy fresh juice on every corner here but at the same time I will miss the amazing food also.

My first juice fast I did after watching "fat sick and nearly dead"

and I did for 10 days.

It was a mix between heaven and hell.

It will be challanging with all the training also but I am also really excited about it already.

I set some bigger goals for this week already but the coming week will be a real challange and I am looking forward to jump into it.

I invite you to review my detailed post on fasting that demonstrates why juice fasting is nowhere near as helpful as water fasting, for one thing: https://steemit.com/health/@ura-soul/fasting-as-a-therapy-for-increased-health-and-vitality-lose-fat-strengthen-immunity-heal-and-look-feel-better

awsome post.

cant upvote it on the post anymore so see my upvote on your comment as an apprication for your post.

I will look into the water fasting a bit more I was aware that it is a thing but I heard also juice fasting would be good for you and my experience with it so far has only been positive.

Now I am a bit unsure what to do but I am tending to stick with the juice fast and then look more into the intermittent fasting because that had my interest before.

Ah, great - thanks for your support, I am regularly posting on health related issues that help us to heal from the inside out - with no drugs and very little cost :)
The reason water fasting is superior to juice fasting is that when the body receives even a small amount of nutrition, such as even a single juice can provide - it will come out of it's fasting mode and the potential health benefits of fasting are limited. Juice fasts are still helpful, I don't mean to belittle them - but water fasts are the really powerful option.

Intermittent fasting is apparently a really great option and I am on my way to trying that for the first time in the next few weeks - I need to shift my thinking and eating patterns gradually to do that. ;)

I hit that follow button already looking forward to learn a lot from you.

Do you have an opinon on chaga? especially chaga supplements? As I learned the chaga pulver is useless as long as you dont cook it and consume it as tea but the chaga extract has the same effect.

@all the spammers this is how you get new followers not begging for votes or I follow you follow me back

Great! I was already following you :)
I have never used Chaga (the mushroom) - so I can't comment from direct experience. However, having just reviewed the list of health issues it is said to help with, I can say that all of them have been shown repeatedly to be resolved primarily through nutritional changes and lifestyle changes - such as adapting a raw vegan diet, increasing the amount of exercise done and also through some form of breath-work to oxygenate the cells. We are all unique and everyone's challenges will require slightly different choices and journeys - I'll keep an eye open for references to chaga and maybe I will learn something new. :)

" I can say that all of them have been shown repeatedly to be resolved primarily through nutritional changes and lifestyle changes - such as adapting a raw vegan diet, increasing the amount of exercise done and also through some form of breath-work to oxygenate the cells"

does this not hold true for most people who switch to a more vegan or especially raw vegan diet. propaply every diet including meat usually brings a lot of lifestyle changes. This is not based on any data only what I experienced in my own environment and within myself.

I used to make tea out of chaga and I felt my mood would be more stable but with this I went for daily walks and meditated more, also took a closer look what I ate. So no idea if chaga had anything to do with it or not but it got me some momentum to keep going for sure which is worth something at least.

I am just curious about all the "super foods" but also very suspicous behind the marketing behind it

My experience has been that the closer I get to raw vegan food only, the healthier I feel, look and am! That appears to have also been the experience of all of the other 'really healthy' people I know of through the internet too - some of them openly state that they didn't completely heal their issues until they went fully raw vegan, despite doing everything else being suggested for extended periods.
It is only by eating raw foods that we ensure a high food enzyme level is present in the food and that really can help boost the body's health levels in a way that is not possible in any other way. I will add that topic to my list of things to post about here soon. ;)

I've used a few 'super foods' and generally have found them to be good in some ways. I really like blueberries (I will be receiving 2 big bushes of them here v. soon for the garden) and I really recommend checking out blue-green algae for the brain. I have been testing 'BrainOn' from E3Live - which is a brand of blue-green algae and I have to say I always notice an increase in mental ability after using it. I feel it provides a boost of chemistry that allows the neurological activity to be activated more than usual.

just tried to order it but Thailand seems not to allow the import at least from amazon

will see if I can find it

if not does spirulina and chlorella should have similar effects?

Sweeet! Very happy that more people who wish to guide others to better health are on Steem :)

Do the juice fast :) And call it a juice "feast" because that is truly what it will be! You'll be able to resume your life as usual AND have better productivity.

Thx for te post, nice pictures.. getting hungry

wow man :D unhealthy food but tasty. I need a burger now

get a salad instead :-)

All the best!
I want to try it too! It removes all the toxins from the body, doesn't it ?

I heard good about it and my experience was positiv also. but check out the link from urasoul. pretty good post

Great self-motivation, liquid fast is really the best detox we can do for our body. First 3 days were tough for me when I did it during lenten.

Yes. Will be hard again first but also it is very rewarding. Mentally and physically

Congrats!!!! You'll get yourself mentally on this :) Do not forget that for the BEST resuming of your digestion, you should take 1 day to "transition" back to solid foods for every 4 days you fast. John Rose recommends this, and I also did this as well and I transitioned beautifully back to solid foods without pain, without fatigue, and without constipation :)

I really look forward to this...and in fact, I'd like to join you and follow your blog on this! :) Last time I only planned on doing a juice feast for maybe 7+ days...and I ended up doing 60 days! Don't be surprised if you do the same--you're going to have more focus, productivity, and clarity than you ever will on any other diet.

You inspired me to share more info...and I cannot wait until you experience this journey :) Congrats again!

Delicious food shakes , nice sandwishes , I already feel healthy only by watching those nice pictures from excellent food !

will only get healthier next week :-)
