Don't just cancel Disney+, cancel Disney.

I'm not generally in favor of boycotts. Really, I oppose them regularly. As a content creator and consumer, it's hard to get around viewing Disney content. The thing is, despite Disney's wide net and massive dominance of popular media, it's getting easier for me to simply choose not to give them another dime.

This is a company that was perfectly happy to have crews drive past Uyghur concentration camps and deal with a totalitarian government which is still engaging in forced sterilization in order to make an abortion of a movie called Mulan while firing an actress for posting a fairly innocuous tweet about the Holocaust.

Umm, hi, remember Matthew 7:5?

Beyond politics, Disney is destroying everything that it touches. It's retconing my childhood into something dull and gutless. It's made Star Wars into a shell of what it once was. I could go the rest of my life without seeing another MCU instalment and die happy.

Yes, companies need to make money. I'm the last person to yell at Disney for making decisions that may compromise art in favor of profit--only, they're not doing that right either. Look at the box office returns for Star Wars. The Rise of Skywalker is the only Star Wars movie that I've only seen once and have no plans of ever watching again. I honestly don't think I'll ever see another Star Wars movie while it's owned by Disney.

The only way to get Disney to shape up is to stop throwing money at it. I'm gonna stop throwing money at it.

Not a Fan of Devil Mouse Productions myself.

Unfortunately, Disney is no longer the same of our childhood or the one that it’s creator imagine. Mulan was a disgrace... even so that I enjoy Mandolorian, I almost "fainted" with the last SW triology.
