Magic stops after midnight

So she heard the clock chimes, her feet plunging down the stairs as her clothes turned to a dull grey covered in chimney soot. After midnight, everything was just a dream, nothing of the glitter was left. In a way, it resonates in our soul. One way or another we find our mind in its most intimate state after the clock strikes twelve. More often than not, we begin to shed our outer skin, baring ourselves, sometimes wondering more than we should. Some are tired, and some just started living, we begin to be the truest of ourselves. Maybe that is where real magic lies.

Welcome in the freewriters community! I like your random thoughts! Being an "owl-person", after midnight is my favorite time. Everything is quiet, but my mind usualy is at the maximum of creativity and sharpness. I like also that you describe yourself in the tagline as "an amateur". I describe myself as "an amateur human being", I think we are somewhat kindred spirits ;)
Well hello fellow kindred spirits ;) I'm glad that you like this short writting and yes that's the case with me too, creativity usually comes after midnight and I end up sleeping late because of it.
I liked your random thoughts! After midnight, things are usually quieter and our minds have more of a chance to let loose without distractions. Sometimes unsettling and sometimes filled with creativity, it's true that there is magic in that time.
