Fussy eaters 🥦🍒🥨
My son has always been a fussy eater 👦🏻. Below is a plate of food he selected and arranged from a lavish buffet on holiday. Every time he took one piece of food, he rearranged the rest of the food on his plate. He also ate tomato sauce with pasta 🍝 bread 🥖 and melon. That was his diet for the week. At least he made healthy choices 😅.
My toddler daughter is the opposite 👧🏻. She eats - a lot! She likes baking and helped to bake the jam tarts above. She will often help herself to food in the kitchen without asking, particularly if there are sweets or chocolates lying around 😄. However, she is picking up some of the fussy habits of her brother and we have to stop her from snacking so that she eats at mealtimes! 🍫
We rarely have a traditional English pudding or dessert after dinner. We usually serve fruit. Mango, cherries, strawberries and raspberries are favourites 🥭 🍒 🍓.
Getting the kids to eat green leafy vegetables is tricky. Fortunately they both like my green smoothies which are half filled with baby spinach leaves.
Hopefully, they’ll both widen their palettes as they grow older and continue to eat a healthy, balanced diet.
