I was at a book sale earlier today and ended up getting a stack of books. In one book was this 1950 B five dollar bill in pristine condition that was seemingly used as a bookmark. It appears to be printed off center a bit and is fully uncirculated as there are no creases, bends, folds, or any marks or damage. I went and looked around a bit on some various sites and found that it probably has a bit of value to it. Ebay shows sold listings for $10 for CIRCULATED bills. This one is uncirculated so it should easily be worth $20. If the off center printing is a defect then the bill will be worth even more.

I am still a bit amazed to have found this. A $5 bill would be cool on its own to find in a book I just bought, but for it to be 68 years old is incredible.

That is a cool find and at the time $5 was a decent amount of scratch.

Nice, I go thrifting at thrift shops a lot and I have found so cool stuff like this in pockets of clothes and books.

Cool find...
(:

$5 worth $20!! Pretty cool! I guess I should start taking uncirculated bills and hiding them in my books for future me to find.

What is the name of the book you found it in? @flemingfarm

Lol, it was in, "Conditioning for distance running, the scientific aspects" by Jack Daniels, Robert Fitts, and George Sheehan. It was printed the same year I was born, 1978.

Nice 😁 @flemingfarm and thanks lol
