Happy Father's Day to all!

Took a few hours today for myself and went to my boulders to put up some more problems. It took me an hour and a half to get the rock cleaned up before I could even start attempting the problems. In the end it was so incredibly worth the time and effort. I have an outstanding roof that has solid problems that are not super easy.

Above is Hog Face, #1 is Piggy Back - 5.7, #2 is Pig's Eye - V1, and #3 is one of my projects When Pigs Fly - V3?. I am super stoked about When Pigs Fly (pictured below) but I am not going to attempt it without a spotter as the landing is not very good. It is a seriously committing problem and you end up almost parallel to the ground as you pull the nose. The top out is at about 15ft so a 12ish foot fall is not a good thing.

Whale Wall got its name for a very obvious reason. It is the other side of Hog Face and extends for longer. #3 is When Pigs Fly, #4 is Blow Hole - V3+? which is a project I will be working for a while, #5 is Dorsal Dash - V0+ which is essentially 2 mantles to the fin top out, and #6 is Whale's Tail - V1- which is a 2 move problem to mantle the protruding tail of rock.

On the South boulder on the left side I climbed #1 White Clover - 5.8 which climbs the corner system. To it's right is Copper Clover which is another project of mine that looks to be in the V3 range. One of my next days out I will get it cleaned up and give it ago to see just how hard it is.

While cleaning up the rocks of the Hog's Face I happened upon this Rubber Boa snake on one of the ledges. It let me get a bunch of pictures and was super docile. I held it and talked to it for a bit then put it back into the rocks and let it go back to its natural ways. Super cool as this is one of only a few Rubber Boas I have found around our area in the last 10 years. Super stoked to get to chill with it for a bit.

I now have 20 established boulder problems in the area with 3 projects to work on and another 15 problems to put up. I will have over 40 problems for sure by the time I am done.

HOLY SHIT I AM HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!
