My oldest's second skating lesson
He did pretty good for his second lesson and third time on ice. The Eagles ice arena in Spokane has a pre-k drop in skating lesson 4 days a week for $6 plus $2 skate rental and the lesson is about an hour. You really can't beat that for an hour lesson. There are about 8 to 10 kids each time so far and for the most part they all can skate to some extent.
It is nice to see him paying attention to the instructor and following directions from someone else. We went to look for some skates for him today but the hockey skates all run really big. A size 11 which is his shoe size had 2 fingers of space in it. It looks like we will just keep renting him skates until he gets big enough to fit a pair of K11s or K12s, but I will keep my eyes out for any that come up at Play it Again Sports and on Craigslist.
