This new years I have spent my time installing the sub flooring in the kitchen. This is 3/4 inch thick, 4ftx8ft sheets of MDF and each one weighs a 100 pounds. I have had the sheets stored in the barn for a year plus and so have to carry each sheet across the yard about 300 feet to the house, where they then get cut to size outside before being hauled inside. The most difficult part to figure out was the curve around the fireplace you can see in the image below.

My body has been screaming at me after all the moving!

It appears my ambition and drive have been a bit much for my body so the past couple of days I have been trying to figure out how to cut the toe kick under the counter/cabinets. I have come to the decision after not being able to rent a kick toe saw that I will try my multi tool with a half moon serrated blade on it. This "should" allow me to cut the flooring out. So today it is back to Harbor Freight to pick up the supplies to hopefully get to where I can finish the sub floor install.

One plus though was that yesterday we got Century Link DSL installed. Just went from 7mb/s to 20mb/s for less money per month and we are now on a hardline rather than over the air like previously. Also got ports 1 and 2 on the new rack they installed in the hub! Two 10mb/s bonded lines give us our 20mb/s.
