2 pounds of DRIED Kale!!!
Plus a look at current stock

I'm SUPER STOKED to have 2 pounds of kale dried and bagged. It has taken about 2 weeks of drying in total so far, but that is 2 POUNDS! Three types of kale with the Bolshoi being the most productive, then the Lacinto, then Tronchuda. The Tronchuda is the most heat resistant kale I have ever found and will last through the hottest summers here. The Lacinto has been the first to attract bugs which has caused me to take more of it sooner than the other types. I still will be pulling more kale for drying as it is the easiest method of preserving the leafy green in a means that requires about the least work. Winter will be far more healthy this year than last with all this kale to use in our meals.
In the coop fridge, I have a fairly large stock of beans and summer squash built up. I currently have:
- 35 pounds mixed summer squash in 10 lb bags and one 5
- 28 pounds of Purple Haricot Vert French fillet beans in 10 lb bags and an 8
- 10 pounds of Yellow Haricot Vert French fillet beans in a 10 lb bag
My poor little fridge is at its bursting point so it is good that the 10 lbs of Yellow beans are sold. Now if someone would just buy the squash and purple beans I will have room to put everything I will be picking.
