Track Your Results

So to know where the subscribers to your list comes from, and what you need to focus on when it comes to traffic sources and Lead Capture Pages you need to track your conversions.

The tool that I use for this is LeadsLeap, and here you get a great tracker even as a free member and that includes conversion tracking.

To track a link you just paste it into the field and click the button to add it.

Then you adjust your details to your liking, and as you can see I have disabled cloaking, with that enabled you have even more options but it comes with either ads or a small ticker, so I have chosen to disable that.

Then you use the tracking link that you get and add a tag at the end to know where the traffic comes from, just click on Copy next to your tracking link to get the instructions for that.

By clicking on the small chain symbol next to Convert A you also get instructions and a piece of code to add to your Thank You Page and track your conversions, and you can also add Convert B if you want to track both of your Thank You Pages or maybe a sales offer that you are promoting to your subscribers.

Once that is done you will start getting statistics on the perfomance of your traffic, and if you have multiple LCP's you can compare which gets the best results, comparing both traffic and LCP.

There are many different metrics that is tracked, also multiple charts, and this is one of them, and you can see that I have ordered them according to conversions, and it's showing part of this chart.

Now also comparing this to the stats I get from my autoresponder I can see that there are 2 conversions missing, and this happens if people have Cookies turned off.

But these stats are great, I have really nice conversions from my blog and vlog on Steem, but I need to work on getting better conversions from my generated traffic.

This is most likely due to my LCP having the main message in a video, so I will make another more regular LCP to cross test against and see if that works better in TE's and Mailers.

I also need to use more specific tracking tags for each post with dates and such, plus track both of my Thank You Pages, so a bit to work on, but it still shows me where I need to improve.
