Update #23, Chess League in Nueva Esparta - winners in Copa Ciudad de La Asunción

In the celebration of the 419 years of capital city La Asunción, the Mayor's Office of Arismendi, through the Municipal Institute of Sport, held the chess tournament "Classic City of La Asunción".

Eighty-seven island thinkers attended the Bolívar square in the Assumptionist capital, to participate in this important event belonging to the Asoajedrene Circuit and endorsed by the insular association of this discipline.

Battles were fought on the board during five rounds in the Blitz modality, from the sub-6 division to Senior and Absolute General.

After the scheduled rounds, Richal Brito won the first seat of this event, followed by Juan Lyon and Aranjuez Medina.

The female champion of this event was Daniela Gonzalez, while Jeancarlos Garcia won the youth title, Nerio Peña was the best Senior.
