From Grand Celebrations to Simple Joys || How I Celebrate My Birthdays Now || 10% beneficiary to @steem-nations

Today, I want to share how I celebrated my birthdays, how I celebrate now, or how I want to celebrate now. In past years, when my grandmother was alive, like from my 1st birthday till my 17th birthday, I always celebrated my birthday at my (nani) grandmother's home. My aunt and grandmother always remembered my birthday, and we always went there with a cake, my nani has always made biryani, especially for me. They all gave me gifts, decorated the launch, and we cut the cake, and those were the best days.

I still remember my first birthday. I had a photoshoot and I have the complete album of my childhood, but I can't find it now. On my first birthday, my family decorated the whole house, my cousins, and other family members were just excited, they ordered a three-tier cake, and my phoppo gave me the princess dress which I didn't wear😂 because I was allergic to those types of dresses🫡. In the end, I was in loose trousers and a shirt on my first birthday🤣. But it was amazing❤️.

But after my 17th birthday, I lost my grandmother, and with her, the nani's home was also gone. My khala and mamu are still there, but now I don't want to celebrate it at my nani's house. Now I just stay at home, and my father brings me cake; my mother makes me delicious food. That's how I spend my birthday, and I also don't want to make the day special, by booking a venue or decorating the room, etc., because I think that's just a waste of money. Instead, I just eat my favorite food and a cake, but I don't mind if my family and friends give me a surprise on my birthday😁, I'll happily accept that😂.

I'm the kind of person who doesn't mind if friends and family forget my birthday. It's ok for me. I always try to find joy in small things🫶🏻; some heart-warm wishes from my best friend are enough to make my day. So at last, I just want to say don't be materialistic, just try to find happiness and joy in little things, and don't expect more from others; instead, be a person who doesn't need someone to be happy.

"Aww, this post brought back so many lovely memories! 🎉 It's wonderful that you have such fond memories of celebrating birthdays at your grandmother's home. And I love how you've learned to appreciate the simple things in life and find joy in small gestures from loved ones ❤️.

It's also amazing how your perspective on birthdays has evolved over time, and now you're more focused on enjoying quality time with family and friends rather than material celebrations 🎉. That's truly a beautiful way to approach life!

As we celebrate our own birthdays and special occasions, let's remember the importance of gratitude, love, and kindness.
