What Winter Looks Like Out My Front Door

Well it is winter for sure here at my off grid homestead. The cold has set in and the wood stove burns nonstop now. My wife and I are staying indoors and enjoying the fact we got everything prepared for the most part to ride out this 3 months of winter chill. The chicken coop has been insulated and the cats have their beds snuggled in. Once a day or so the cats go out to do their daily routine around the property and check on the chickens. The dogs are sad that their long walks are now delayed due to the freezing temps lately. However it seems to be warm enough the next couple of days for them to go around the block on a walk. They do enjoy a bit of running in the yard everyday though.

We don't have cabin fever just yet but I am sure it will come.
