How to Find Motivation And Stay Motivated to Exercise

in #life7 years ago

Despite that how exercise and physical activity generally requires everyone, sometimes it's hard to encourage and start training.

Of course, getting and keeping the motivation is not easy, on the contrary, it is a very difficult job, which often does not immediately give the desired results so for some people it's difficult to continue.

Exercise should not be your short-term goal, which is one of the most common mistakes that many do in the desire for a better look. Exercise and a healthy diet are not a short-term diet, it is a lifestyle.

Exercise do not change just look. With exercise comes and other benefits. You will have more energy, strengthen immunity and long-term can prevent a variety of serious diseases.

Although very attractive, knowing that we will be healthier and look better does not have to always motivate us. In fact, we do not have to motivate. But in this case it is necessary to find motivation somewhere else in it.

To find the motivation to exercise, you need to find a good reason why you even started.
What makes you to wake up early in the morning out of bed and exercise? Also, what makes you exercise after work?

What you need is a "peek" deeper into yourself and define what's important to you in life?
Perhaps to be thinner? Handsomer?
Whatever the reason, you have to keep it up and do not give up just because of him!

  • When you find the reasons for exercise, let it become liabilities, as well as going to work or any other activity.
If you are not ready to commit, the better to not start.

  • If your goal is to lose more than 10 pounds or get abdominal muscles, will certainly have to take a long time and that you should be aware of.

  • Track your results. A picture of yourself, write notes, when you see the shift, write it. Each shift will push you even further, and provide additional motivation to continue.

  • If you find it difficult to go to the gym, play the kinds of activities that are fun to you... tennis, volleyball, football... As long as you are in motion, and as long as sweet, everything is ok.

Even 95 percent of people who start to exercise will give up.
Why? Because they do not have support.
Find support. Whether this will be family members or friends who will encourage you to continue to practice, whether you practice with them, mentors, your girlfriend, boyfriend...

Exercise is not only to achieve certain goals. Exercise is a lifestyle, which with this activity certainly be better, healthier and longer.

Sort:

People who start excercise to look better have fundamentally missed the point.
If you excercise regularly, you will feel better. When you feel better, you engage with other people more naturally, and of course that means you are easier to be with. You become more open to new things as physical ability gives basic confidence.
So if you feel good, and you are confident, you will no longer be absorbed with how you look.

Totally agree with you!
Thanks for your comment @scalextrix

Well said, great and to the point of the whole reason to train, Training is better than exercises because it teaches you to think and improve. It's a matter of lifestyle and choice as you've said.

Thank you for your kind comment @j3dy
Wish you all the best! :)
