Popia Zaiton Yummy Street Food, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

Welcome to Popia Zaiton out front of the Malawati Mall in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.
The never empty line is for a vegetarian snack similar to a Mexican burrito in looks, but not taste.
You have two choices here and both are RM 1. (25 cents usd).
This is a busy place.
Out front is the serving area.
The man in the back is making the veggies and wrapping the popias.
"Basah" is regular. "Goreng" is fried.
Most people are getting two popias; one of each type.
Inventory will be used quickly.
This order has two without the deep frying. both were first cut in half, but I was not quick enough to show you.
Can't have naked popia!
Spreading the sauce.
Sauce is done.
Now wrapping for takeaway.
Still more people are waiting. This lady cannot work fast enough.
My popia in all their glory after unwrapping. The sauce was tangy and sweet. Not hot at all, despite how it looks.
My deep fried popia is on the left, and had some crunch to it.
I liked the non-deep fried version best. It was so tender, and the veggies were excellent.
I am often at the Malawati Mall. Now I will have an additional stop to make while there. Two thumbs up for this delicious treat. I could easily eat a couple popia everyday :)
