Mayalsia Welcomes Me! My Road from STEEMfest is nearing the end
I am back in Malaysia now and welcomed for 90 days with the tourist stamp my passport needed. In one of the smoothest border crossings ever, no questions were asked by either government as I left and arrived.
Every crossing is stressful, and I am now happy to be off that topic until mid-February 2020.
I am still on the bus, speeding to to Kuala Lumpur. I have good wifi, so let's talk about some of the food I ate in Thailand that was not part of a wonderful STEEMFest menus.
This fried rice and fermented pork dish is the first food I bought in Bangkok. I arrived on Wednesday, and this was Saturday afternoon. If you look back on my "Food of STEEMFest" posts from this week, you will see why I needed nothing else besides drinks.

This was awesome too. I want the fermented pork for the pro-biotics.
Even though I am female, I was drinking a lot of this on the trip. They have another lemony version with 200% vitamin C. Both are 20 thb - 60 cents USD.
Chicken and fish at 3 am as I return from the STEEMFest last night fun on Sunday - Monday morning. My Chinatown neighborhood is still going full tilt.
I decide I need protein and take photos while the lady is heating up my gigantic chicken leg.
Then I saw a frog in the top left of the tray. Curious, but not tempted. Maybe next time.
I love Thai Street omelets. This veg version from a stall next to my hostel was excellent after I picked out the tomatoes. $1.20 usd and it is over two servings of rice.
I got this watermelon at the Hua Lumpong Train Station just as I was getting on board to come south. Nice and refreshing. My celebration of getting onto the train hit the spot.
Many vendors get on and off the trains and ride a few stops to sell food and drinks. I will have a post about this coming soon. You will not starve on a Thai train even though they do not have dining cars.
Chicken ladies carry the chicken on their heads at all stations. Once they get on the train, they will sell with the platter held down below.
This lady has cakes, but carries them in a boring way.
I bought this 8 thb (25 cents USD) water while on my way from the train to the bus in Hat Yai Thailand. Suddenly, here was a machine to take the last of my coins.
It was a hard eight blocks in the noon heat, with huge curbs and bumps to drag my luggage over. And I had many tuktuk drivers insistently blowing their horns each 2 minutes or pulling over to get me to use their service. This 8 for water was the last of my THB, so no money for them!
But I got to my bus in plenty of time, and then started this wonderful end to the trip.
